The format

Is SGRAIL100 a race?

SGRAIL100 Girona is a non-competitive ride from Cadaqués to Girona – Swim, Gravel, Trail. All roads and paths remain open to traffic, so please respect traffic regulations at all times.

Is it timed?

Yes. Your total time and every section are timed: Swim · Transition Swim to Gravel · Gravel · Transition Gravel to Trail · Trail · Total. Wear your timing chip on your ankle throughout the entire event until you cross the finish line – and please return it at the finish area.

Where do I wear my bibs?

The Gravel bib goes on your bike under the saddle – attach it the day before the event. You can also stick a small label with the profile, distance and aid stations of that section onto your bike.
The Trail bib must be worn visibly on the front from T2 in Celrà onwards. If you’re not using the T2 bag, you may also wear it during the Gravel section.

Can I skip the swim?

Yes – but you have to tell us at check-in.

Race morning & Swim

What’s waiting for me in Cadaqués before the start?

Coffee by SAILFISH and a donut by RYZON, a cloakroom, toilets (WC 1, WC 2) and a CANYON mechanical service point. Portable toilets and restrooms are also available at the maritime facilities.

Can I leave a personal bag in Cadaqués?

Yes, at the cloakroom – you’ll get it back at the finish at Plaça dels Jurats in Girona. Please attach the sticker with your race number (handed out on Saturday) to your bag.

Where do I change into my wetsuit?

In the transition tents – not in the restrooms, please.

What does the swim course look like?

1,500 meters with start and finish at Platja Gran de Cadaqués. The course is rectangular and counterclockwise: 700 m straight marked with yellow buoys every 250 m, a 100 m turn marked with red buoys, and 700 m straight back, again with yellow buoys every 250 m.

How does the transition from Swim to Gravel (T1) work?

From the beach you enter the transition area: MAURTEN aid station (products, water, fruit) → changing tents with your white T1 bag → boxes to drop your T1 bag (you’ll get it back in Girona) → bike racks in a straight line. Run alongside your bike inside the transition area – you may mount and start pedalling at the end of T1.
